I can't imagine sanding without my Rotex! I ended up selling 3 other sanders after getting used to the 125!

Dave, Can you tell me how long it took you to sand using each grit and total time if you remember? I have a 30's T&G bathroom walls and ceiling with 90 years of crappy paint jobs to get through.. Being just a dyi girl I need to justify the expense by having it save me loads of time from my regular orbital. I appreciate you and your video.

I fail to see why you need to make it smooth as glass at this point. you're going to be putting a finish over that which will raise the raise. Don't you really want to make the finish smooth as glass?

He runs his sander two fast, for fine job it will easily leave a swirl on the wood.

isnt that fine of a grit a bit excessive for wood?

You can make perfect crown stops for $10. Just slide the extension mounting bracket out 3/4” and attach a 6” piece of T-track between the saw and extension.

That’s a lot of paper changing happening.

Nice! Really strange they didn’t make their regular extensions with crown stops built in. I just attached a single piece of t-track to the end between the extension and saw base.

Plethora of sandpaper? Here's suggestions for future vids to replace plethora. There's surplus, surfeit, overabundance, superabundance,superfluity, oversufficiency, profusion, glut, too much, more than enough, spare, overflow, and finally, extra.

I like it.

I've come to the conclusion that everyone has their own methods of sanding increments. I myself go with 80 120 220 320 with sanding to a fine finish using raw hard woods like Walnut and Mahogany.

I just finished staining a steering wheel way too dark. I seen your thumb nail and said.... hell yeah. I just sanded that stain off and re-stained with a much lighter one.
